The Proposed Improvements on West 65th Street from Denison Avenue to Herman Avenue Include:

  • Complete asphalt resurfacing, including full and partial depth pavement repairs where needed.

  • Removal of underutilized paved surfaces in treelawns to increase vegetated areas, improving corridor aesthetics, downstream water quality, and neighborhood walkability.

  • Sidewalk, ADA-compliant curb ramps and drive aprons as necessary.

  • Improved pedestrian crossings including installation of rectangular rapid flashing beacons (RRFBs) at select crosswalks.

  • Traffic signal upgrades at Storer, Bridge, and Franklin Intersections.

  • Signing and pavement marking upgrades, including bike lanes between Denison and West Clinton.
